Why do we respect the dead more than the living?

Do you ever wonder why do we cry once we lose someone who is important to us but fail to acknowledge them when they are near. It is human nature that we only realize that something or someone is important to us once we don't have that thing with us anymore.

The same theory applies to today's title "Why do we respect the dead more than the living?". We cry and offer our best wishes to someone when they are gone but when they are present with us in the moment we take them for granted and hardly acknowledge their presence in our life.

We as individuals often lose our temper and end up hurting the other persons feeling, we place our ego over other peoples emotions. We hesitate to apologies and accept where we go wrong but do we realize that this might hurt the other person and your hateful words might eat them alive.

Your ignorance towards them and their feelings is what breaks them.

But when we lose them we remember those times we hurt them, those fights and we regret our choices. we respect the dead more than the living because we let our ego and our attitude come in the way of our emotions and our relations which end up hindering the bond we share with them.

Instead try and build something better with everyone, spread love and put others before your ego. Try and understand their side before you react to a certain situation. You must keep your self respect as a priority but it situations where one needs to be understood, try and see the situation through their eyes. Respect the living before its too late and you might lose a chance to fix things. appreciate and acknowledge those who are present for you and with you in the moments.
