We all as individuals judge ourselves based on standards that are set by others or by ourselves.

The world around us forces us to be in this bubble of expectations which push us to be more than we can be. This might benefit us to put our best foot forward but it also increases the mental and emotional pressure on an individual.

We usually set a certain goals and standards for ourselves which we wish to achieve. Apart from our careers and a few other aspects we usually base our standards on what we see around us. Our beauty standards, our personal performance in life. fashion style and many more things are influenced by others.

We try and be someone else when we set these standards for ourselves because we try and please the community we live it. We often find our selves trying to fit in with our friends, family or any community.

We try to incorporate everyone's hopes and expectations into our idea of the perfect self and lose our selves in this process.

While many may disagree that these standards encourage us to be better and push ourselves but are they truly worth it, if you hurt yourself in the process?

We spend our lives trying to make someone else happy and fulfilling someone else's standards.

So today sit back and think whether you have set these goals and standards for yourself or did you let someone else decide who you should be this is world?
