Do numbers in a bank account make people happy?

As I scroll on social media every day and talk to different people, I often come across people who tell me that money can make them happy. That they do not agree with the fact that money cannot buy happiness. After a point I started to wonder, what exactly does that mean. "MONEY CAN BUY HAPPINESS".

While materialistic things might make people happy, even a selfish person needs a shoulder to cry on. whether it's shopping or our several attempts to fill our voids of greed, at the end of the day we do feel alone.

Several people claim that money can make them feel what a human can make u feel. Money gives them happiness and they would not need anything else. That materialistic things are capable of providing someone with that kind of happiness that they can sleep in peace at night and feel as a whole.

However, I don't think so, as much as materialistic things can satisfy someone, at the end of the day everyone needs emotional and mental support to live through their life. They need someone to come back to, someone to trust, and someone who will accept them. Every individual is vulnerable to someone and always hopes because that's how our body works. We might not show what we feel or what we wish to achieve but in the end, internally everyone knows that money can never buy them the happiness they need to live in this world.
